What to expect from Madison Healthstyle
Often when you see a chiropractor the expectation is that you need chiropractic care, right? However, is that what is best for you right now? In order to find out how we can help you get the best results possible for you, we have developed the Madison Assessment Protocol or M.A.P. -- here is how it works --
STEP 1 - Your first visit with us is where you sit with us and explain your health concerns. WE LISTEN TO YOU, and we care about what is going on.
We are committed to learning as much as we can about how long you have been concerned about your health. This includes how bad the problem is, and how it is affecting your current lifestyle too.
Our unique Madison Assessment Protocol is all about helping you best. So with it we can assess you top-to-toe without any invasive tests, embarrassing exams or difficult procedures.
If clinically indicated, we can order a set of x-rays from our friends at Q-Scan Parkwood and in most cases these can be bulk-billed.
Do I get treatment on the first visit?
We will do everything we can to help you feel better at your first visit. Though may not be possible to start care right away without seeing test results, and putting a plan together for you. If we have all we need though, we can start right away.
We don’t guess when it comes to your health, and we don’t dismiss our responsibility to do no harm.
STEP 2 - Next is your Personal Wellness Plan. We compile all your results and explain them to you one-on-one, then we agree on the best plan - TOGETHER.
Over the years, while looking after 1000’s of people just like you, we noticed a trend. When we gave a report, people were saying ‘no-one ever explained this problem to me like this!’. And that is a problem we are determined to fix!
What is in the PWP?
Your Personal Wellness Plan (or PWP for short) contains copies of any scans, x-rays, and tests that we do. PLUS a plan that we have determined to be best for you -- just you.
Want to know what muscles are working to hard? or not enough? Want to measure your physical wellness and track your progress over time? Then the PWP is for you.
We spent ages developing this process, so that you don’t have to wonder ‘am I in the right place for me?’. You’ll know straight away!
Knowing what is going on, and having all the details on record, gives you the peace of mind to make the best decision in your health and wellness. Both now and in the future.
STEP 3 - Teamwork is what it is all about! You have access to the entire Madison Healthstyle team, all in one place.
Collaborative care (where multiple health professionals work together for you) has obvious benefits over relying on a single person for everything.
You no longer have to run around town to find the best chiropractor, awesome massage therapist, great nutrition plans, or even the Gold Coast’s best Yoga, Hot Yoga and Pilates.
Each member of the Madison Healthstyle Team is co-ordinated by the Wellness Director in consultation with you. This collaboration means your Personal Wellness Plan will ONLY include the treatment that is both best for you, and what you want.

STEP 4 - Continual re-evaluation is key to achieving the best results possible for you!
How you feel each day is certainly part of your overall health assessment, but it isn’t the best way to assess long term success when you are making positive changes.
Your PWP includes regular re-evaluations, or ‘Re-M.A.P.’s’. Think of this process as like mid-year report cards at school.
We repeat the evidence based, objective tests that we did with you at the beginning of your PWP and compare results. Therefore you KNOW you are on track, or if we need to make changes, we can!
Albert Einstein once said something like ‘the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result’ -- that makes sense to us, so let’s do something different!
